April is Autism Awareness month!

Celebrate Autism Awareness month with Mama Llama!

I want to spread awareness and help a local organization at the same time!
Hillard has attended Camp Journey here in Katy Texas for 3 years in a row. They do wonderful things to keep special needs kids, including autistics, engaged during the summer months so they don't loose what vital socialization they've gained during the school year. The director is very dedicated to her special needs students and their progress.
I wanted to kick things off by offering a special colorway in variegated and self stripping.
Order yours now b/c supplies are very limited. $3 of each skein sold will go to Camp Journey to help support a student attend camp.

The colors will be a bright Turquoise, Chartreuse, Old Gold, Teal, and Purple (these will be heavily saturated colors) You have a choice between variegated or self stripping...... In sock weight or sport weight
Skeins will be mailed April 20th!
Sample skein shown in the sport weight, the colors are even more vibrant in person.

Getting Crafty!

I finished My Chevron Lace Cardigan a while back and I've already worn it 3 times. I get lots of compliments each time so I will probably be making a few more out of some cotton blends for the summer months. Pardon the crud pic:

Here are the center portions of the Granny squares located at the yoke of the garment. I have 7 more to go! They look complicated but they really true to the pattern and easy.


I have been working on this a little over a week and I am about 70% finished. phew! I have so many other I can't wait to "hook" and "cast on" for.

Just a quick update post, I hope to have this done soon and on too other things!
