HANKy Tank Blue's!!

I wrapped my hank loops on either side of my chair arms and went to work making a ball. Well needless to say a few strays got in the way and whoops my HANK TANKED!!! My wonderful DH Chris is sitting behind me right now trying to untangle the mess. Lucky for me I got atleast half of it in a well organized ball, but I wish Chris the best:) I stood over him for a while and tried to snatch the yarn away but to no avail, he sent me to the computer! I will leave him to his work! Image hosted by Photobucket.comI suspect I will see a ball winder and swift in my future!!!!
Have a great weekend everyone.

I am getting so excited about going to California to see Jenn (KnitWit Momma) we plan to knit, eat, and shop. I am gonna miss my men and I hope they can make it without me:( I like to pamper all of them!

The double pointed needles that I used to finish up the hat gave me a splinter!!! Can you beleive it? Well, the important part of that sentence is FINISHED!!!! Yes it was made with love and a little touch of blood He He He. That was the first time I used dp's and it was a good introduction, can't wait to start those socks today:)!!!!!

The Hat!

Image hosted by Photobucket.comI tried to make the pictures larger but no luck.  this was suppose to be a hat for DS discovered it would be too big so I kept going to make it for DH.  Chris says that he didn't like the way it rolled at the bottom.  I tried the hat on and it looked great!  So, here is my soon to be hat:)  I absolutely love it and I am going to try to finish up by tommorow.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comYou can the circs on my head, very stylish don't you think? Oh Yeah and my shirt is not only inside out, but also backwards! go figure:) DH laughed and took the picks anyway!!!

I am going to start my socks by sunday night! wish me luck b/c this is the first time I am attempting socks! I have the basic sock pattern from lion brand and some magic stripes!!!! more later:)

New Look, more Knitting!

Nope no pics this time, although the scarf has really gotten long since I frogged the tank. I am just waiting for my cotton-ease to get here!!! I RAOKed 6 people this week and I really enjoyed the thank you's. Man this Random Acts Of Kindness is way fun, I have met some really great people!

You may notice a new look! I shot an email to moonarts.com to do a button and banner for me. It cost a little money, but I really enjoy blogging and want mine to look nice. Missa sent me the pics today and I couldn't wait to get them up! Now I just want to figure out how to change my background color and a few other things!

Do you hear a Frog? RIPIT!

That's right everyone, say goodbye to the tank project made with ribbon yarn! I just got so frustrated. All I could think about is how I really wasn't enjoying myself! The yarn is very very pretty, but I am not a fan of it. I gave up and posted on RAOK to see if I got some nibbles to sell it. Two minutes later I got a response, I stayed up late confirming the transaction! I even went ahead and purchased some cotton- ease lion brand to make Tempting for my twin sister and I. Almost Felted blogger made it out of this and it looked great. very economical:) I will give my twin her money, ship the package, and presto conscious clear:)

Projects, and Fun Stuff

Image hosted by Photobucket.comHere are the current WIP's!!!! There is the fair isle hat, the scarf, and i have started the tank for my sister.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comClose up of the tank. There are 290 stitches on this sucker and counting them was a hassle. I have discovered that ribbon yarn stitches like to hide under each other! the first 2 rounds were tough but now that i am in the middle of the fifth it is smooth sailing from here:)

Image hosted by Photobucket.comI love how this sock yarn has turned out for DH's hat. Remember this was suppose to be for DS but I put way too many stictches ha ha ha!

Image hosted by Photobucket.comGoddies, Goodies, Goodies! See the felted bag?(March archive) the other two bags were given to me by a good friend this weekend and I couldn't wait to use them. My friend's mom passed away late last year and I helped her pack up her moms stuff this weekend. I was uncomfortable at first( I really liked her mom a lot) but after the first few minutes it got easier. I ended up leaving with 3 or 4 bags full of great stuff. I also got 2 knitting books as well. Bob the Builder toys belong to children not me. Although you can always find them in my bags:)

Image hosted by Photobucket.comClose up of a Vera Bradley bag. Lots of pockets inside and really spacey for yarn and macthing tote.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comHanging travel make up case, now is a needle and notion tote:)

Sara, thanks for letting me be apart of your weekend and I have already made great use of the bags, clothes, shoes, books, hair dryer, and the rest:)

Here is the group! I have a great time at my knitting group but i never seem to get any knitting done:) I bring a 10 mo. old and 6 mo. old with me! I do have the best time talking with people that have my same interests and I love to see the projects they are working on. My projects are coming along okay, slowly but surely. Almost to the half way point with them both. I am really enjoying meeting people from RAOK. Hi ya'll!

Great Weekend!

Hello everyone! I had a great weekend b/c I was invited to join Random Acts Of Kindness (RAOK)! Alright! I was so happy to get the invite, I joined ASAP. I have been working on getting my blog up-to-date that my WIP have suffered. I am getting angry with my scarf. Some of the stitches are very loose and look crooked! It is driving me insane and I am beginning to thing I don't know what the heck I am doing!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Image hosted by Photobucket.comSee that loose stitch in the middle cable! aughhhhh. I have tried to fix it several times but no dice. Some of the cables come out peeeerfect, but others look absolutely horrible!

Image hosted by Photobucket.comI am very happy with this hat. It is coming along very well but it continues to roll!!! I will start the cute tank top when my needles get here.

I need to start serching for my first RAOK. This is going to be so much fun. Wish me luck:)
